We are so excited to introduce the first sticker design in our Proceed Donation Line!

YOU 👏🏽 COULDN'T👏🏽 HANDLE 👏🏽ME 👏🏽AT 👏🏽50 👏🏽 PERCENT! Not a Meghan Markle quote, but rather what I have been inspired to shout from the roof tops with this design after watching her recent interview with Oprah. In the spirit of keeping it 100 today, I am going to say what's on my mind so take a seat and grab a snack 🍿

✨Firstly: 100% of the proceeds of this sticker purchased on myactionpotential.com will go towards donations to the Black Mental Health Alliance; IG: @black_minds_matter_

✨Now:
In a 2018 interview between Meghan Markle and Oprah, Meghan revealed that when she had just joined the royal family she was told that it would be best if she toned it down by being "50% less than she was"

This is not "advice" that anyone should ever receive, but in particular, this is NOT what you say to black and biracial women.

As a black, biracial woman pursuing my PhD in a PWI, I have received this message in more ways than one. I have been told I need to stop speaking with my hands, dress more "professionally," and that I speak too "colloquially" etc.

This "advice" is not just RACIST (yes, with the big R and everything) it is also dangerous! It leads to withdrawal and isolation, internalized hate, and a washing out of blackness in positions that we deserve to fill with ALL the space we can manage to take up. It leads to depression. It leads to suicide. Resources for mental health and guidance should NEVER be monopolized and kept from those in need.

✨The truth is, they still couldn't handle Meghan at 50%. They couldn't handle me at 50%, and they can't handle you at 50%. So let's keep it 100. Actually, you know what, 150 some days.

✨We also have to give huge SOs to Tyler Perry and Oprah for using their resources to provide the SUPPORT, PROTECTION, and SECURITY that Meghan and Harry deserve as human beings. Those acts of kindness have great effects on our world.

We stand with Meghan Markle.
